Cloning in the Cloud

Gone are the days where it took weeks to get a new server on line.  Cloud computing and replication are as close as the click of a button.

In our case, that means Hypervisor from VMWare, which literally allows us, at the click of a button, to provision a new server, put it in service, and spread load from our existing 'servers' to the new one.

Now, you wouldn't use cloud servers for all of the needs within your server farm (think web servers, reporting servers, etc., not your Oracle database servers), but the ability to instantly provision (or change the specs on) a new server is invaluable and unprecedented.

We also use our cloud capabilities to bring test and development servers up as needed, giving us greater flexibility and quality assurance in our rapid development and deployment environment.

So, if you can't, won't, or don't want to continue to manage your implementation in-house, give us a call and we can further discuss the advantages of SaaS in the warehouse and the supply chain.
