Increasing Profitability and Validation with a 3PL WMS
System

 One of the most effective business practices to enable organizations to increase profits is by decreasing costs.

Consider the consequences of a shipping error. Errors in shipments often result in reductions in customer satisfaction which affect client retention rates. Warehouse customer service personnel can expend hours dealing with shipment problems. Warehouse personnel must investigate the problem often resulting in restocking of the wrong items then having to pick,
pack and ship the correct item. A rush delivery will often erode any margin left on the sale.

Shipping the wrong item or the wrong quantity of an item is the most common error. Perhaps the wrong unit of measure was picked; say one carton was picked instead of one unit within the carton. Other types of errors include shipping multiple
boxes when only one box would have sufficed and also errors in packaging that cause an item to be damaged while in transit.

These supply chain issues and others can easily be resolved with a 3PL Warehouse Management Software (WMS) program. It will result in a more efficient business operation, reduced costs and greater customer satisfaction.
