A leading industry organization recently conducted a survey of mid-size warehouses and their operations. The survey findings noted that the average mid-sized warehouse loses 3,000 hours a year due to workforce inefficency, product obsolescence and poor inventory controls.

A well designed and structured warehouse management software program will be instrumental in improving the efficiencies of a warehouse operation.

The profiiciency of the software must be complemented by your warehouse team being skilled in order picking, inventory cycle count reconciliation and a smooth and efficient supply chain process. This will be aided by checking and managing multiple incoming and outgoing shipments.

Without a true WMS program available to personnel none of these key warehouse proficiencies are possible.

Your warehouse management team must be able to reconcile their inventory on a daily basis.

Furthermore, your WMS software must be set-up to scan all of your inventory and track incoming shipments using ASN's or Purchase Orders.
