Why WMS Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Processes are of Great Value to 3PL’s and Warehouses

A well structured EDI process can help you and your customer quicken and streamline their supply chain transactions. The CoreWarehouse cloud based WMS software is structured to enable operations and warehouse personnel to easily conform their warehouse practices to a simple and easy to use EDI.

In today’s fast paced business environment it has become a common way of doing business to exchange supply chain documents and automate transactions with customers who are part of your warehouse operations.

Examples of EDI interfacing includes automating inbound sales orders which would trigger a purchase order (EDI 865), acknowledgement  of PO’s (EDI 865) or an advance ship notice that enables customers to know when their customers will receive their warehouse items. EDI is also often used to automate outbound invoices, change orders (EDI 860), inbound payment remittances as well as automating picking tickets, shipping advices, warehouse transfer documents and inventory levels.

3PL’s and warehouse organizations that are successful at implementing an EDI integration program realize immediate benefits including lower costs, fewer returns and  charge backs and overall improved customer satisfaction.

CoreeBusiness solutions is located in Fairfield NJ 201 836-8900 and has a tier 1 SaaS cloud based WMS  program.
